In August 2011, CIMAC, ADRAL and Fundação Eugénio de Almeida signed a cooperation protocol intended to lay the groundwork for the creation of a culture focused incubator in Alentejo Central. This collaboration intends to study the feasibility of such an incubator associated with the future Centro de Arte e Cultura, whose inauguration is scheduled for the second quarter of 2012.

The model of incubator to be designed until the end of the project will have to take into account, on the one hand, the guidelines inherent in the sustainability model proposed by the ICE partnership and, on the other hand the specificities of the region and particularly of the city of Évora.
In October 2011 was concluded the short film to promote the cultural values of Alentejo Central.

In June, CIMAC launched a contest of ideas for the elaboration of the short film script, open to all the regional elements of the ICE network. According to the guidelines defined by the transnational partnership, all shorts should promote the cultural heritage of ICE regions, particularly the intangible cultural heritage, through a narrative. They should also promote the enjoyment of that heritage using the five senses.

In the case of Alentejo Central, the result was a short film in 5 episodes, each one proposing an enjoyment of the territory based in one of the senses. From scriptwriting to direction and production of the episodes, the work involved the companies that integrate the ICE regional network. Direction and production were taken in charge by Infimoframe and Wokfilms, both members of the network. This short film will join the short films from the other five ICE territories.
